"Did I say that out loud?!" How what we say helps or hinders intellectual freedom
This session will explore the many ways library staff support and encourage intellectual freedom. Scenarios which impede Intellectual Freedom will be presented, discussed, and opportunities for alternative statements explored. Expect a lively conversation, practice with “scripts” that may be useful, and how five major relationships in librarianship are developed and align with ALA’s Code of Ethics.
