Carrie Gaxiola is the Newspaper Project Coordinator at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Libraries - Carrie holds a Master of Science in Information Science from University of North Texas, Bachelor of Arts in U.S. History from UNLV, and is currently earning a Master of Archive and Record Administration from San Jose State University.
Carrie has worked in academic libraries her whole career, mostly within assessment and data analysis, and also managed a small academic library. She is currently working in Digital Collections, of Special Collections and Archives at UNLV Libraries, on a nation-wide large scale digitization project, Chronicling America with partners of the Library of Congress and National Endowment for the Humanities.
